Pension Insurance Corporation

The Project:
A pension scheme to secure their members’ pensions hold events for their users. PIC needed a survey with specific questions for their users that attend their events. The project included researching various online surveys while using current components and keeping to the brand guidelines. This project needed a quick turnaround for their users to use immediately.
Some questions differ to others e.g. may need a text box or need more options than others.


The solution:
This project started by reading over the objective and the templates with survey questions followed by looking over the current website/guidelines to pinpoint what components we can use. Keeping typography font and size the same as the website as well as yellow radio buttons, primary buttons and warning messages.
Researching online survey layouts for a one page survey that uses radio buttons for option selections.
Questions to be placed on the left, as that is where the user starts reading on the page. Options/radio buttons to follow on towards the right side of the page.
Question 8 was difficult with more options needed to rate from 1-10, this needed less space between the numbers and option buttons to fit in the guidelines used for the right side.
Additional comments box was decided to be full width and expandable so the user has more room for text than a fixed text box.


The impact:
This survey went live and was immediately shared/ used by PIC’s clients from their events. PIC were impressed with the quick turnaround as well as the survey being easy to use for their users. 

Feedback was so good that the client came back with a bigger budget to re-design the Survey as the final product was in full use for them to collect data. With more time available, PIC asked for a 1 page per question survey. Follow the project below for more details.
